Wednesday – July 8, 2015
After dinner the dining room was cleared, all benches and tables removed. The dining room now became a mini-disco and the evening started on a very happy note with all the kids dancing and having fun. One and a half hours later, at about 21:30 the atmosphere changed fast with the roaring of thunder and the flashes of lightning. All scattered to their tents and it started to pour. We were all worried that the tents would not stand up to the pouring rain, that the bedding and clothing would be soaked. I was worried for myself but just as much for the kids, not knowing how they felt under these extreme conditions. To cut a long and exciting story short, all was well. This morning we learnt that all the counselors were up all night continuously checking on the kids.
This morning, apart from some puddles here and there, a new day, sunshine once again. Today’s program was for each group to prepare a skit that is to be performed in the amphitheatre later tonight. Our group have prepared 3 short dances, they rehearsed in the morning and have had a relaxing day. On the other hand, the Polish kids have taken this much more seriously and have spent a lot of time rehearsing and making props. Tonight will be our first show-night.
After lunch we met as a group to discuss and finalize plans for Friday which is the day that we will run from morning till night. The songs used for wake-up every morning that are normally in Polish or English, this Friday will be in Hebrew. The group have prepared different activities, 6 stations which include trivia, dancing, a song, etc. After the activities in the afternoon we will setup the dining room for Kabalat Shabbat. Table clothes, Chalah on each table, Shabbat blessings, lighting of candles. All is prepared, hopefully it will go according to plan.
The group continue to enjoy the environment, playing sports and taking every and any opportunity to venture out on the lake. Today for the first time Ben took the only boat that has a sail. The life-guard and guy in charge were very proud of him and his skills and on his return, we learnt that the Polish kids are not allowed to use this “sail boat”.
יום שלישי למחנה
קמנו לבוקר השני שלנו במחנה אחרי סופה לילית (בינונית לפי הפולנים אבל חזקה בשבילנו) לבוקר יפיפה. אבי ואני (יובל) נפגשנו במזח ועשינו קצת התעמלות בוקר לפני ההשכמה. בגלל הגשמים לא נכנסנו למים אבל שיחקנו הרבה כדורעף ובילינו עם הנוער הפולני במשך היום.
אתמול עברנו פעילויות שקשורות להתמצאות במרחב – בהתחלה הלכנו בשורה עם כיסויי עיניים בתוך היער שמחוץ למחנה, פעילות מגבשת מאוד שיצאנו ממנה כולם מאוד שמחים. אחרי הפסקות (המאוד ארוכות) ניווטנו בתוך המחנה בזוגות כשאחד מאיתנו עם כיסוי והשני ללא.
הקליטה שלנו במחנה עברה יפה, הבנים השתלבו באוהל 13 עם חמישה נערים פולנים, הבנות קיבלו את אוהל 6 לעצמן, וכולנו התחברנו מאוד לחברים מפולין ואפילו למדנו קצת פולנית.
בזמן שהמשכנו לתרגל את המבטא הפולני שלנו במחנה, הבנות התחילו להכין בבוקר קטע תיאטרון היתולי, ולקראת הצהריים הבנות שקעו בחזרות אינטנסיביות עד הערב. אנחנו הבנים נחנו בזמן הזה בגלל שלאוהל שלנו היה קטע מוכן מלפני שבאנו.
מאוחר יותר נלך כולנו לאמפיתיאטרון שביער בשביל לראות את ההצגות שכולם הכינו.
מחכים למחר ומתגעגעים הביתה, נועה, ניקול, בן, זוהר , חן , עדי , שילה, יובל, בר, גולי בתיה ואבי J
